About Me
With over 25 years of experience in teaching and training, I’ve worked across the community, education, health, and business sectors, supporting adults in developing their IT, literacy, and numeracy skills.
My work has also included serving as a personal tutor, offering pastoral care and guidance to adult learners—many of whom have gone on to pursue higher education.
I’ve delivered training in a wide range of settings throughout South Yorkshire, from colleges and community centres to working men’s clubs, village halls, and business environments.
Education and training have been at the heart of my career. I’m passionate about working with people, sharing knowledge, and providing the support and encouragement they need to thrive.
In 2020, I became Co-Director of Illustrated Solutions Ltd, a business focused on bespoke sublimation printing for promotional merchandise, and more recently, the delivery of training services.
As part of our training offer, I’ve delivered ESOL sessions through the company, supporting a group of Polish learners in developing and improving their English language skills.
In October 2022, I expanded my training portfolio by qualifying as a Mental Health Instructor with Nuco Training,—a role that aligns with my personal passion for mental health and well-being.
In February 2023, I delivered my first course: First Aid for Mental Health Awareness – FAA Level 1 Award, marking the start of my journey in helping others understand and support mental health in their communities and workplaces.
In November 2023, I began working with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) in Wakefield, providing dialect training for international nurses recruited from India. This ongoing role focuses on improving both written and spoken English while helping the nurses adapt to the local Yorkshire culture.
In July 2024, I completed a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), further strengthening my expertise in delivering effective English language training to learners whose first language is not English.
In January 2026, I requalified as a Mental Health Instructor with Nuco Training.
